JOB TITLE: SALES AGRONOMIST/SEED SALES

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSc. Agronomy or other Ag-related degree OR minimum 2 years agronomic sales experience
- 2-3 years providing solid agronomic recommendations to make sales with ability to follow seed brand guidelines
- Excellent communication skills and solid knowledge of Ag-based software applications
- Performance-driven and self-directed with ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective Ag Growers
- Good "Time Manager" who stays informed of Agronomy industry trends, market conditions, and competitors
- Valid driver license and willingness to travel within territory as necessary
- CDL with HazMat endorsement or ability to obtain

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an long-established Ag Retailer looking to hire an experienced Sales Agronomist / Seed Salesperson to sell within a north central to northwestern Kansas sales territory. Ideal candidate will enjoy working directly with Ag Growers to scout their crops and make solid agronomic recommendations with regard to Seed, plant nutritionals, biologicals, and crop protection products. Primary responsibility is providing sound agronomic advice to an existing and prospective Ag grower customer base resulting in profit for the customer as well as for the company. Additional duties to include:
- Managing your own schedule and working remotely
- Conducting sales presentations, product demonstrations, and developing sound sales proposals
- Developing/Maintaining an existing base of Ag grower customers as well a prospective customers
- Creating/Implementing sales plans including writing up contracts that meet company sales and growth targets
- Remaining informed of latest Agronomy/Crop trends, market conditions, and competitive products
- Maintaining up-to-date inventory records to ensure timely delivery of seed and other products based on customers' needs as well as accurate customer billing for timely payments
- Keeping facilities and warehouse clean and orderly
- Preparing timely sales reports
