QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of Full time Ranching Experience & 5+ years of leading a crew are minimums.
- General Ranch Maintenance skills are a must. Arc welding skills, mechanical, electrical are all preferred. Willing to assist in all areas around a couple different ranch units as needed.
- Team player, strong communication skills, and positive attitude, ability to lead team in project completion whether building fence, or repairing corals, or watering systems.
- Willing to assist in all areas of the ranch. Ranch consists of mostly cow/calf production, whether purebred, commercial, back grounding, yearlings, and growth & replacement bulls & heifers.
- Skilled in horsemanship, and have your own gear; Have experience in working with livestock health, and use of low stress livestock handling techniques along with practice of good grazing principles.
- Will care for up to 3 well broke geldings per employee, no mares, no green broke horses on the ranch.
- CDL with driving experience and hauling cattle and/or heavy equipment with good driving record is a big plus.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an Arizona employer looking for a good Ranch Foreman who knows the cattle industry with minimum 10+ years or ranching experience and 5 years of leadership of others that is willing to jump in and assist in all areas with the management of the cow herd. This person will lead and work with up to 4 seasonal employees outlined by Ranch Manager and the Ranch Team which the Foreman will also be part of. Need to be a self-starter, but also a team player with good communication skills. Candidate with CDL is a plus and will spend slow times on the ranch assisting with moving cows, yearlings, and such as needed. The location is rural, but 30 - 60 minutes from school and town. Summers, for 4-5 months, will be spent at summer HQ at a higher elevation grazing the summer pastures. Looking for someone who takes pride in what they do, have common sense, and capable of efficiency when managing crew.
