QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prefer experience around feeding cattle and working with cows
- Experience around cows would be a plus
- Good animal health skills
- Team player, be able to work in a team environment
- Assist in maintenance and general repair of equipment and overall ranch upkeep
- Assist with upkeep and operation of 2 pivots
- Need to be a good communicator with both co-workers and management
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for a good Ranch Assistant for this Nebraska cattle operation. Prefer person who knows cattle and starting bawling calves on feed and be able to assist with cows and calves. Have good animal health experience and be able to handle general maintenance and repairs of equipment, facilities and general upkeep on overall operation. The ranch is starting light weight cattle and need person to help start bawling calves on feed, ride pens, spot sick cattle and doctor. Very progressive cattle operation with good facilities, and excellent equipment to make the day go easier. Employee needs to be flexible and be willing to jump in and help where needed. Seeking a long-term employee. Will operate equipment in feeding cows and calves, starting and feeding calves, ranch maintenance, etc. Can bring horses and ranch will feed and shoe 2 working horses. Good cattle operation offering good stable work environment, good place to raise a family and plenty of hunting, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities.
