- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Degree in Milling Science or related field preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of flour milling experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

Job Description:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an Ag Business in search for a Head Flour Miller. The Head Flour Miller is responsible for overseeing the flour milling operations. This role requires a deep understanding of flour milling, process optimization and team management. The Head Flour Miller will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence of the flour mill and mill staff. The Head Flour Miller will work with the Quality and Safety Teams to ensure product quality and workplace safety. This position will also work with the divisional Management Team to prepare the facility and staff to meet future needs.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire flour milling process, ensuring the production of high-quality flour that meets customer specifications and company standards.
- Manage and optimize mill performance, including grain conditioning, grinding, and sifting processes.
- Monitor production performance, including extraction rates, yield, moisture content, and quality parameters.
- Implement best practices for preventative maintenance, reducing downtime and enhancing productivity.
- Work with the Management Team to ensure inventories are maintained for enrichment, packaging, spare parts, etc.
- Required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure adherence to food safety standards, including CGMP, HACCP, HARPC, and BRCGS Food Safety certification.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to maintain consistency of product.
- Conduct regular inspections, troubleshooting, and adjustments of the mill to optimize product quality.
- Supervise, train, and mentor flour millers and assistant flour millers.
- Schedule shifts, assign tasks, and provide training to ensure operational excellence.
- Work with the Operations and Maintenance Teams to revise and develop procedures for Mill Operations and Maintenance.
- Foster a culture of workplace safety by complying with OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
