- At least five (5) years practical leadership experience in construction; Strong background in mid-size to large-scale construction projects with proven ability to manage projects
- Frequent overnight travel
- Leadership skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience with Steel Building Construction a plus,
- Agricultural Background a plus, but not required
Job Description:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting an Ag Business in search for a Dairy Construction Superintendent. The Dairy Construction Superintendent will work closely with the Director of Dairy Development and will be responsible for the on-site organization of Agricultural construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day to day on-site activity at a construction site, supervise crews, and delegates tasks to crew members and subcontractors.
- Review project plans, blueprints, specifications, and drawings, and make recommendations
- Create and manage schedules, including crew work schedules, and monitor attendance
- Occasionally work alongside crew with framing of buildings and pouring of concrete
- Ensure the safe use of tools, equipment, and machinery, and enforce the proper use of safety gear
- Perform on-site inspections to evaluate progress, compliance with plans, and quality of construction
- Coordinate the delivery, storage, and efficient use of project materials
- Communicate effectively with different types of people
