ABOUT EMPLOYER:
Our client is a Progressive Biotechnology Organization focused on assisting Ag growers, Ag retailers and food companies to adopt innovative sustainable and enriching Agricultural practices to improve soil health by utilizing their proven soil amendment products. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- BSc. Ag Science, Ag Marketing, Agronomy or other Ag-related degree
- 10-12 years of experience mentoring/coaching an established team of 10 or more salespeople, preferably within the crop protection or seed industry
- Personal Ag Sales experience, 10 years or more in crop protection or seed
- Proven experience developing a portfolio of Ag products within a regional geography across a variety of crops, with special emphasis on Midwestern row crops
- Excellent relationship management skills, especially with regional customers and major agronomic organizations
- Proven record of establishing/sustaining producer relationships at all key levels to achieve desired results
- Experience working hand-in-hand with marketing, finance, manufacturing and other functional teams on the overall go-to-market strategy, new product ideas and customer-specific programs
- Ability to travel minimally to corporate headquarters and regional sales meetings

JOB DESCRIPTION:
This executive position is a key role for our Client and will provide global leadership/mentoring to a team of sales personnel. The primary function of this Chief Sales Officer will be to develop/implement strategic sales plans and programs based on the goals of the organization to promote sales growth, to lead the sales and marketing strategy, as well as meeting/exceeding customer satisfaction through identifying Ag and commercial market needs, developing proven distribution channels, penetrating lead accounts and managing sales campaigns with the objective of building the customer base and meeting revenue targets. These revenue targets will include the build-out and implementation of strategic, disciplined sales and account management processes. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the implementation of solid marketing and customer programs, policies and systems to align with and support the strategic direction of the organization.

A wide degree of creativity and autonomy will be extended to this CSO in terms of utilizing their previous career experience and good judgement to plan and achieve their goals. Building on a career of consistently meeting customer goals, personal strategies and skill set to tailor make programs that fuel successful outcomes for both customers and brands will be necessary in this role.

A key member of the Executive Team, this CSO will report directly to the President/CEO of the organization and will be expected to provide best possible professional service and effective communication to company personnel as well as to customers.
