- Will be working with some of the beef industries best cows
- Must work well with other employees and clients
- Routine maintenance and general repairs
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is searching for Assistant Donor Cow Manager to work hand and hand with the Donor Cow Manager in caring for some of the industry's best cows. Be able to follow specific recipes for feed and vaccination schedules. Candidates should have experience collecting embryos for freezing and fresh implanting into recipient cows. Duties include monitoring cattle daily for health, looking out for the livestock’s well-being, mixing specific feed rations and keeping track of vaccination schedules. Candidates will need to know how to operate loader tractors and 4-wheelers. Must be willing and able to assist with maintenance of fences and facilities and on vehicles and tractors. Must be personable and be able to work with others and treat all clients and their cows with the utmost respect. Need person who lets their actions speak louder than their words. This is an established cattle embryo collection center. Typically, they manage about 100 donor cows annually for the purpose of collecting embryos for various clients, either to freeze for later implanting into recipient cows or for direct fresh implanting into recipient cows. Currently there are two employees at the center, the manager and a donor cow manager and they are seeking a 3rd person as the assistant donor cow manager. The ET center has been in operation with technicians flushing embryos from donor cows every 2 weeks throughout the year, for years.
