This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate has been involved in the purebred cattle industry since graduating with a B.S. degree in Ag Business and Animal Production with an emphasis on Beef Cattle Production. Since leaving college he has managed two operations while also running his own cattle. His family-owned operation is raising registered Simmental, Angus and Maine Anjou with focuses on genetics and raising elite females and bulls. He conducts all day-to-day activities including irrigation, sales, breeding and health management. He is also Ranch Operations Manager overseeing all day-to-day ranch operations including herd health, irrigation and pasture management for a 1000 head/10,000-acre purebred Angus and commercial cow/calf operation operating in California and Oregon. He manages their donor cow and recipient cow herd along with their replacement heifer development and all the AI breeding programs. He oversees a small crew in both states and lays out day-to-day operating plans and yearly goals for the owners. He has been an integral part of his employer’s expansion and growth of their commercial cow herd and has handled the video marketing, shipping and value-added programs. He has been the lead on their two annual bull sales over the past few years and focuses on new genetic purchases for the ranch.
