This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate is a Ranch Foreman managing all activities on 52,000-acre ranch that entails state and BLM leases. Contracts 3,000+ yearlings every summer and manages herds accordingly to achieve proper rate of gain and herd health. Oversees 1,000 head of BLM horses that are moved monthly and fed during the winter months while corresponding with the Wild Horse & Burro Program. Care for and calve out small groups of cows. Directly involved with maintaining equipment, water systems, buildings, and animal welfare. He is also involved in daily ranch caretaker activities. Previously he was Ranch Manager at a 30,000 deeded acre ranch with 300 commercial mother cows and an active heifer replacement program along with 5,000 acres of dryland hay/small grains. He oversaw all day-to-day activities of the ranch and delegated duties to ranch employees. Trained all ranch employees or contract for services to carry out the day-to-day activities of the managed operation. He was directly involved with maintaining equipment, water systems, buildings, and animal welfare. Ensured livestock are being raised to market standards and manage the land-based resources for long term productivity. He is a detail driven person and takes pride in himself, his actions and surroundings. He enjoys meeting new people so maintaining healthy relationships is important to him. As a manager and crew leader, he has learned how to work with different individuals and their personalities.
