This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate has 30+ years of retail sales, agronomy and production management experience. His first supervisory position was at 20 years of age with approximately five custom applicator employees reporting to him. At 25 years of age, he was managing a retail seed and chemical business with three employees. He managed the agronomy department for a large co-op, dispatching personnel to operate up to 10 machines and is currently managing a farm that started at 12,000 acres and has grown to 40,000 acres. At one point he also managed the farm’s aerial spraying business, which was sold due to retirement. For the aerial spraying business, he did the consulting recommendations and dispatching of airplanes. Currently the farm has 14 full-time employees and up to 45 at harvest, which he oversees directly daily. He is responsible for forecasting, purchasing and sourcing all the inputs. He's also been responsible for a 2.5 million bushel on-farm grain elevator.
