This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate has been involved in ranching and agriculture his entire life. He has had the opportunity to work on several large ranches as well as some smaller ranches. He is very passionate about his ranch career. He received a bachelor’s degree in animal science as well as an associate degree in welding. He was Unit Ranch Manager for several years and was then promoted to General Manager by his current employer. This has given him valuable experience overseeing the care of 2500 head of cattle, supervising a crew of four to seven employees, working with government agencies, inventory work, and developing good relationships with neighboring ranchers. He has also developed the skill of being able to work and solve problems under pressure. He has good horsemanship experience and is a skilled roper. He uses low stress cattle handling methods to move cattle. He is skilled at preg-checking, A.I. and ultrasound. He has good organizational skills, attention to detail and is hardworking and honest.
