This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate is seeking employment in a ranch management position on a registered black angus operation. He has taken college courses in Animal Science and has worked in many different aspects of the cattle industry. Started out as a herdsman on an Angus farm in Georgia and then managing a registered herd of Angus cattle. Has been involved with running yearling cattle as well as being a foreman in the feedlot. He is currently Ranch Manager overseeing 200 head of registered Black Angus and 160 head of commercial cattle on 3,000 acres. His experience includes AI, synchronization protocols, embryo transfer, management of donors and recipients, AHIR record keeping, bull selection, preg (palpation and ultrasound) checking, calving heifers, replacement heifer selection and Practical vet procedures. He works with a nutritionist and has experience calculating and figuring feed rations He practices intensive grazing, applies chemical weed control of pastures, operates hay and heavy equipment. He is Angus genetics BQA certified and holds an annual fall bull sale.
