This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate has been active in Agriculture for 20 years. He is currently a Field Operations Specialist assisting growers through agronomic data collection and soil samples. He partners with growers to increase profitability through grain quality samples to enable growers to sell their grain for a premium. He owned and operated his own farm in Texas for 15 years where he was responsible for all day-to-day operations including bookwork, supply, repairs and communicating with lenders. He farmed a variety of crops, including cotton, peanuts, corn, wheat, canola, sesame, melons, peas and malting barley both dryland and irrigated using conventional, minimum till and no till methods. After his farm sold he Managed a local farm and had his own custom farming business. He partnered with local farmers to custom plant, custom plow, and custom deep breaking on their acres. He also operated custom application rigs, chemical and dry fertilizer, on a custom basis.
