This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate been involved with the ag industry throughout most of his life. Grew up on a traditional corn, soybean and hog farm (1,600ac/60 sow farrow to finish) in northeast Iowa. He was immersed in full scale production agriculture at an early age. The 3rd of 3 bothers, his seat in the field was in the cultivator tractor and later the planter tractor and this is where he developed a passion for ag tech, especially in guidance and planter tech. After high school, he attended Iowa State university and received a BS in Agricultural Engineering (Power and Machinery emphasis) and minored in Agricultural Business. Once out of school, he began his career with CNH Industrial (Case IH) as a combine test engineer testing harvest equipment throughout the Midwest and internationally. Since then, he’s also acted as cooperate Marketing Specialist promoting Magnums and Steigers throughout the western corn belt, and now as a Global Precision Technology Solutions Manager focuses on the got-to-market strategy for the tech solutions Case IH brings to market on the Steiger, Magnum, planter, seeder, tillage, and sprayer product lines. Throughout these diverse experiences though he’s continued to help the family farm grow into the 2,500ac farm + 500ac custom operation it is today. His main role on the farm today is lead mechanic, agronomic data manager, and planter and soybean harvester operator.
