Candidate Description:
This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate has been around production agriculture his whole life. He graduated from Southeast Community College with a degree in Livestock Production and was close to having a crop production degree as well. He is familiar with every aspect of row crop farming from plant to harvest. He grew up on a corn and soybean farm and has a good livestock production background too in hogs and cattle. For the last 3 years he’s been working for a large farmer as his right-hand man and main equipment operator. He ran a 24-row high speed John Deere planter over 5,000-6,000 acres every year. He also ran a John Deere s780 combine the last 2 years and grain cart and semi the year before and has operated a 2510h anhydrous machine. During the summer he managed around 20-25 pivots. He did daily maintenance on all equipment as well as troubleshooting issues. He is looking for a long-term position that has room to grow and expand. Has worked on both large and small operations, with a team and on his own and understands the hours and work it takes to farm. He is adaptable, hardworking, and learns quickly. He is looking for a family friendly operation as he has 2 boys and another baby on the way.
