This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate is the Owner/Operator of a cattle and hay and row crop operation in Kentucky. He maintains all vehicles and equipment on the operation. Responsible for all sales, purchasing, and budgeting. Schedules all employees and contractors to keep the operation flowing. Maintains all records, including calving records, crop records, yield maps, and financial records. He is responsible for all crop rotation and agronomic decisions. Previously he was Farm Supervisor over the production of a large, 4500-acre can and corn farm overseeing a full-time crew of 10 employees in day-to-day farm operation. He oversaw all farm maintenance to include machinery and infrastructure maintenance and maintained all parts and equipment inventories. He oversaw all irrigation which included overhead and seepage irrigation. He coordinated contractors for fertilizer and chemical application as well as farm construction projects. His qualifications include: • Working knowledge of Precision ag equipment including Greenstar, Trimble, and Raven • Working knowledge of Excel and Word. • Extensive knowledge of farming and farm equipment • Can speak Spanish. Although not completely fluent. • Experience in operating and maintaining all types of machinery and equipment. • OSHA 30 certification • Graduate of a 2-year Leadership training program sponsored by Kentucky Farm Bureau.
