This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate is responsible for management and leadership of a 650 head cow calf/ yearling operation with a large hay and wheat operation. Responsible for all day-to-day cattle operations and oversight of farming operations and support of farm manager. Duties include, employee management, hay marketing, procuring improved cattle genetics, cattle marketing, cattle health protocols, cattle nutrition. land and cattle infrastructure, budget and financial analysis. Works closely with feedlot on cattle placement and marketing. Secures strategic summer grazing leases and winter cornstalks grazing on separate farm. Design and development of multiple low stress cattle handling facilities and critical stock water systems. Works with ownership and management team to develop and implement strategic operational goals for startup operation.
