This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate has worked on 2 different farms. The first was his family’s 1200-acre farm that he started working on when he was a kid and then started working for another farm full time out of high school while attending college at night and online. He worked there for just under 5 years full time but worked many years before and after school, during summer and other breaks. That is where he got his love and drive to farm. He started as a kid just doing anything they would let him do. At the time he left he was the lead operator running every piece of equipment from tractors, combines, sprayers, etc. He helped with paperwork in the office, went to seed and fertilizer meeting and provided his input on what crop inputs should be selected for upcoming growing seasons. He managed a crew of as many as 8 at times. Now he works on a farm with 3,900 acres. He is responsible for tasks such as routine maintenance on equipment and operating all equipment around the farm. He is responsible for the majority If not all spraying across the farm. He has a bachelor’s degree from Murray State University in Agriscience/Agriscience Tech. He is seeking a position in a lead capacity of some kind with a progressive farm.
