Candidate Description:
This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate grew up on his family’s farm. Since graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Plant Science and Ag Business, he has worked on the family dairy farm and for the last several years has been the primary decision maker for their 3,000-acre row crop operation and was the direct supervisor for 3-5 full time permanent employees. His daily responsibilities include all aspects of their cash grain production including crop ration as well as variety/hybrid selection and purchase. His equipment was modern with GPS and variable rate technology. He was the primary contact with NRCS and FSA for program eligibility and compliance. He has experience with Ag data software, including remote imaging as well as UAV imaging. His farm also has a trucking division and he was responsible for routine maintenance on 5 semi trucks and 12 trailers, determined rates and load procurement and supervised the drivers. He has a Class A CDL with endorsements. Qualifications: Farm, Plant, Spray, Harvest, Crop Care Decisions, Marketing, Management, Budgeting, Record Keeping, Maintenance. I have been the primary decision maker for the ~3,000 acre row crop operation for the last several years. Additional Skills: I am best at the agronomy aspects of farming, but enjoy the business too.
