This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate is seeking a lead position on a progressive farming operation where he can use his knowledge and hands-on experiences he’s gained through education and previous work experiences. He has excellent knowledge of agricultural processes, practices, technology and machinery. He is organized and detail-oriented in producing quality outcomes. He is skilled at managing multiple projects/employees and consistently meeting/exceeding deadlines.
He worked on and then managed a 2,000-acre corn and soybean farm in central Illinois since he was a kid. This included all purchases of machinery and inputs along with selling grain. He also managed the trucking and all field decisions. He Interned with John Deere in product development working on prototype combines and high speed planters.
In his current position as Farm Manager, he is responsible for the long-term planning and leading day-to-day operations of the farm. He creates and ensures the cropping plan is executed as necessary to ensure good stewardship of the land is maintained. He reviews and interprets all collected precision Ag data and uses it to further enhance productivity. He negotiates and purchases all necessary inputs and equipment as needed. He manages and markets all grain sales/storage. He also operates and maintains late model equipment utilizing precision equipment and auto steer.
Previously as Production Associate he was responsible for the implementation of the crop plan for pre-commercial hybrids, which included managing a crew of full-time and seasonal employees during planting, detasseling and harvest. During the winter months he managed conditioning, packaging, and quality of all inbreds grown and sold in North America.
