Vineyard Manager
Candidate Description:
This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate is a San Joaquin Valley native and a Fresno State viticulture graduate with a variety of pesticide licenses in California and Oregon. He is currently a Vineyard Manager in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. He is responsible for all vineyard operations including harvest management, pesticide planning and application, frost prevention, irrigation planning and application, fertilization and nutrient budgeting, yield forecasting and training and management of equipment operators and FLC hand-crews. Also responsible for acquiring and maintaining sustainable farming certifications for all company vineyards in Oregon, budget planning with Regional and General Managers and conducting on-site field trials. Previously he was a Viticulture Technician at a vineyard and winery where he assisted in the management of approximately 1200 acres of estate vineyards and in grower relations duties for contracted vineyards. Conducted yield forecasting study, and he also worked for five years as a Seasonal Field Representative responsible for chemical use report management, grower quality analysis, field maturity sampling, harvest scheduling and management, and grower information distribution.
