This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate, over the course of his career, has developed extensive experience in all the aspects necessary to operate a business. He has a bachelors degree in Agricultural Business from Iowa State University. He owned and operated a farm with multi-million-dollar budgets, cash flows, and performed complex financial and data analysis. He developed and executed risk management strategies for the marketing of his cash crops, communicated and developed relationships with numerous landowners, input suppliers and lenders and worked extensively with precision technology and numerous ag-related hardware and software applications to make data-driven decisions. He has experience in seed sales and worked as a Project Manager for a company that develops proprietary software applications serving the financial services and insurance industry. As Project Manager, he was responsible for the leadership, scheduling, execution and customer communication on a team of up to 33 members in both the US and China, serving 4 global clients. He returned to the Ag sector after 1 year and worked in a wide range of capacities from equipment operation, crop scouting, and production to managing the office, financial record keeping, and data management and then took over the operations management for the retail fertilizer business. In this role he has been responsible for receiving fertilizer orders, creating prescriptions, blends, work orders and dispatching the equipment to serve our customers in a timely manner. Most recently he oversaw daily and in-field logistics on a13,500-acre farm where he led a team of 14 employees to successfully plant, care for and harvest corn and soybeans and equipment maintenance in the offseason.
