This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate has been ranching in Montana and Wyoming. He has a wide skill set including vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance, irrigation, fencing, calving, gathering, and general cow work. Throughout his ranch career he’s also acquired carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance skills. His responsibilities at his current position include repairs/maintenance of all ranch equipment and vehicles, participate in low stress handling and intensive/rotational grazing cow/calf and yearling programs, and calving. He also assists with no-till, dryland and irrigated farming, winter feeding and winter management of a few hundred lambs and their LGDs. His previous job experiences include hay and wheat production on 1100 acres of irrigated and dry land along with repairs and maintenance on all farm equipment and ranch vehicles, assisting in all aspects of cow/calf operation, running a summer crew of up to 9 people that included 2 mechanics, a fence and hay crew.
