This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate is a Working Farm Manager for a large 10,000-acre, diversified farm with row crops, grass seed, blueberries and hazelnuts. He manages the day-to-day activities and oversees 12 to 18 employees every day and keeps them productive. He consults on agronomic crops including fertilizer, chemical, irrigation, and harvest. Planning and implementing ground work, planting, fertilizer/chemical applications, irrigation, harvest and processing of crops. He performs equipment maintenance and in field repairs. An example of his typical day includes overseeing 10 swathers all night and 10 combines, 4 grain carts, and 4 semis during the day along with irrigation and the ground working crew and all while doing recommendations and coordinating 2 sprayers for insect application the following day. He is looking for a working farm management position that will continue to grow his career.
