As the On-Farm Agronomist for a large Nebraska producer his responsibilities included: -Managing assistant for thirty-five farm employees -Purchasing Manager for farm chemicals and fertilizers -Farm Management on fifty-six center pivots, corn, and cover crops -Assisting other cooperative agronomists for advice and reassurance -Irrigation scheduling assistance for both flat rate and variable rate -Insect, weed and disease scouting -Soil fertility planning and fertilizer recommendations -Insect, weed and disease control recommendations -Spraying all acres with a Case 4430, 120’ boom row crop sprayer -Mapping with Veris technology -Planting and field operations -Adjusting planter and sprayer machines -Managing weed and fertilizer programs -Alleviating sub-soil compaction and water infiltration strategies -Driving Semi’s for syrup and cake supplement -Driving Semi’s for sub-contracted labor CSS Farms, hauling potatoes -Composting manager/advisor 100,000 + tons/year -Agronomic advisement to Lincoln County Feedyard on all crops -Increased farm productivity 125% using integrated practices
