Candidate Description:
This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate grew up working on farms and ranches and built a good base of knowledge on the production side of Agriculture. He received his bachelors degree in Agronomy in 2021. He has worked as a Crop Scout for the last 3 seasons first as a college intern and now as an Associate Agronomy Specialist. He surveys, analyzes, and generates detailed reports on contracted acres, examining a wide variety of crops for insects, weed conditions, plant disease, and irrigation scheduling needs. He manages a regional portfolio of grower’s accounts and provides excellent customer service to ensure correct crop consulting needs. Develops chemical recommendation schedules with individual growers to fit situational and financial needs. Conducted soil sampling for lab analysis and interpreted the results to growers for personalized fertilizer recommendations. Provides guidance and timely interaction with growers when they need assistance. Regularly attends chemical, seed, and fertilizer meetings and field trials to better understand products in hopes to provide the best service possible to growers. Daily utilization of agronomy-specific software like FieldX and Agrian. He’s looking for a position where he can apply the skills he has and be able to build upon them in the future. He is open to farm, agronomy and ag sales positions.
