Candidate Description:
This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate was Assistant Manager for a large Nebraska Feedyard, managing day-to-day operations. He assigned tasks to employees and made sure the team was doing their job. He called feed with the use of Micro Technologies (Accu Tracc). Maintained animal facilities utilizing equipment with the most up to date technology. Analyzed cattle to detect illness, injury, diseases and physical characteristics. Inspected feedlot structures such as fences, buildings and roads maintenance and was responsible for addressing any issues in the Feedyard. He worked alongside the Veterinarians to improve employee /operation performance and trained new hires on how to do their job efficiently and safely. He was fully in-charge of the operation every other weekend. He acted as translator for co-workers. shipping and receiving cattle as well as unloading material shipments. He is currently an Engineer Technician doing survey work for new projects and existing projects. He works with subcontractors to pinpoint, via GPS, where work needs to be done and flags areas where there would be staking that needed to be done whether it be bunk, electrical, plumbing, fence or checking surface grade for contractors. He does as built surveys after the contractor is done with his work in a particular area. He acts as a translator for contractors on site, conducts sub-contractor interviews to see if they would be a good fit for the company. He worked between construction team and the engineers taking the data off the data collector and processing on his laptop and then passing it on to the engineers. Additional job duties include unloading trucks, operating machinery and anything that could arise on site.
