Before that he worked in the animal industry managing a donor horse herd where he drew blood for animal medical services. His current job is on 1000-acre operation where he oversees all ranch activities on a backgrounding operation in Missouri. His responsibilities include pasture management, processing cattle as they come in, maintaining buildings and maintenance on equipment as needed. He is certified in Beef Quality Assurance and has taken courses in cattle handling. He also has done row crop work with his father-in-law part time. He would like to continue to work in a hands-on management position. Also, would like to be in a place where his opinion counts and can contribute to the success of the operation. Having good communications with the owner is important.
