This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate graduated in May of 2021 from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in agriculture. He has been in the workforce for seven years and brings not only academic experience from his time at the University of Kentucky but also practical experience from working on a production row crop farm to the role of operations manager. Those responsibilities included assisting customers with their seed and chemical needs, developing field trials with local farmers, and maintaining the store’s record-keeping systems. In addition to providing chemical and seed suggestions, he often worked with customers to identify solutions to issues within their operations, frequently utilizing soil sample results and farm visits to brainstorm with customers. In addition, he worked on soybean field trials to compare several varieties of low-input, non-GMO soybeans. These experiences prepared him to facilitate communication with management and employees as well as coordinate planting, chemical/fertilizer application and harvesting.
