This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate’s ag experience comes from earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from South Dakota State University and working at a bovine reproduction company for nearly 20 years. As Site Leader, he has learned many skills related to animal health and livestock management as well as daily operation management of a large cattle facility. The facility generally had 3000 mature cows on hand, and he managed the GE herd, recipient/donor herd, calving/calf rearing and off-site animal housing. He managed 8 people, mostly supervisors of the general work force. He also has many years of experience working on a row crop, small grain and hay operation running many types of machinery and assisting with equipment maintenance. He also operates his own small, registered cattle herd with wife wife and kids.
