JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-Placement is searching for an experienced Program Manager for an upper midwest Corn Board Association. This role is central to ensuring smooth operations, supporting volunteer leadership, and advancing meaningful programs that benefit the producer community. The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, and comfortable operating in a small-staff environment where autonomy, strong decision-making, and efficient multitasking are essential. Key Responsibilities:
The Program Manager will:
- Coordinate daily administrative operations spanning multiple boards and committees.
- Manage program logistics, scheduling, communications, and deadline tracking.
- Support membership, policy, outreach, and producer-focused initiatives.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing events, meetings, and educational programs.
- Build strong relationships with producers, partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders.
- Oversee budgets, track expenditures, and maintain accurate financial and program documentation.
- Maintain organized records, files, reports, and databases.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries.
- Draft communications, manage correspondence, and support public outreach efforts.
- Prepare meeting materials, assist volunteer leadership, and ensure follow-through on action items.
- Provide administrative support for scholarship and foundation-related programming.
- Uphold professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in all interactions.
- Manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions to keep programs moving forward.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and long-term organizational goals.

Some in-state travel may be required for meetings, events, and outreach activities. This organization typically employs two full-time staff and is seeking a candidate who thrives in a dynamic, flexible environment and is motivated to help restore full operational capacity.

Preferred:
- Experience in agriculture, commodity organizations, member-based groups, or nonprofit associations.
- Experience supporting volunteer boards or committees.
- Event planning or meeting coordination experience.
- Experience with CRM/member databases, basic website updating, or simple content management.
- Familiarity with communications or social media support is a plus.
- Budget monitoring or basic financial tracking abilities.
- Relationship-building skills and comfort engaging with producers, partners, and industry representatives.
- A genuine interest in supporting agricultural communities and producer-focused programs.
