Qualification

- Minimum experience of 2 years in feed mill or plant maintenance or related maintenance field
- High school degree or equivalent
- Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb ladders
- Ability to work at heights of 200 feet and in confined spaces

Job Description

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing an established agricultural business who are searching for a Plant Maintenance Worker. The plant maintenance worker must be able to perform preventative maintenance on plant related equipment, as well as repair and install equipment as necessary. Maintenance Worker must be able to detect potential mechanical and electrical problems, maintain the required written records including work performed, corrective actions, and installed replacement parts. Maintenance worker must work in compliance with all company policies, Local. State, arid Federal policies, laws, and regulations. Must check Hammer mills 2-3 times cach shift. Maintain a PM program. Check samplers daily. Put all tools away when work is done. Lockout and Tagout everything before performing any maintenance Keep all maintenance records up to date. Keep part and tools picked up.

Essential Duties

  • Repair any mechanical malfunction in the plant
  • Detect any potential electrical or mechanical problems
  • Work closely with the Plant Manager and Control Room Operators to scheduie repairs with minimum down time.
  • Check that equipment is functioning properly
  • Prepare written and actions taken to correct equipment problems
  • Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergency situations
  • Lubricate equipment
  • Perform preventive maintenance aecording to a posted schedule to ensure that all equipment is operating at peak performance to ensure quality of product being produced.
  • Always wear the proper PPE/(Personal Protective Equipment) before starting a job.
  • Check Hammer mills 2-3 times a day
  • Follow all safety rules, hot work policy, and company polcies..
  • Check samplers daily to make sure they are working properly.
  • Lockout and Tagout everything before performing any maintenance.
  • Keep all parts and tools picked up.
  • Clean up work area when done with repairs.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork and reports
  • Report any quality and feed safety problem to member of Plant Quality Assurance Team

  • Perform other duties as assigned
