- Strong crop production experience (irrigated and/or dryland)
- Proficient with modern farm equipment
- Solid mechanical, repair, and maintenance skills
- CDL required or ability to obtain
- Welding experience preferred
- Self-motivated, dependable, able to work independently
- Stable work history
- Comfortable with rural lifestyle
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is looking for a Lead Farm Assistant responsible for independently managing a 5,000–6,000-acre remote farm in Idaho that produces wheat, safflower, hay, and grain. This person will oversee daily operations, including equipment use, irrigation, crop production, hauling, and maintenance. The role offers long-term stability, rural living, and a high degree of independence. Family pets are allowed within reason, and there is a flexible winter schedule. An excellent opportunity for someone seeking a long-term, independent position.
