Position Overview
A diversified farm and ranch operation in Nebraska is seeking a dependable, hands-on Farm/Ranch Employee to assist with a mix of livestock, row-crop, irrigation, and trucking responsibilities. This is a year-round role with seasonal hours and a high level of responsibility, ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in their work.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with calving, including extended hours and occasional night checks during calving season
- Monitor herd health and treat sick calves as needed
- Operate farm equipment, including:
- Planter
- Round baler
- Grain cart
- Year-round semi driving for grain hauling
- Assist with irrigation setup, gravity pipe, and general farm duties
- Repair and maintain pasture fencing as needed
- Install and maintain electric fence around corn stalks for livestock management
