QUALIFICATIONS:

- Strong production Ag background or a passion for large scale food production beneficial. Willingness to always be learning.
- Hydroponic Production, Outdoor Horticultural Field Grow and growing multiple crops of up to 12 crops in 4 seasons experience preferred and/or plus.
- Supervisory experience is needed with the ability to build a cohesive team environment while balancing both planning and implementation among your team.
- Self-directed with solid communication and time management skills with a desire to drive production and efficiency and the productiveness of crew
- Previous teaching experience or desire to teach and mentor others
- Spanish-speaking ability a PLUS
- High integrity with strong work ethic a MUST along with being focused, attentive, goal oriented, people oriented, persevering, and problem - solution oriented type of person.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is assisting a dynamic, progressive grower of culinary herbs who is seeking a Farm Manager to oversee both indoor and outdoor crop production, as well as assist with hydroponic production and assist in all areas of the operation to continually improve productivity or scale production as appropriate. The employer is seeking a long-term employee. The ideal individual may have a degree in Horticulture, Agronomy or other Ag-related degree, but more important is we're looking for someone that is about learning the systems and processes, showing your ability to master them and aligning with the leadership team about making improvements that you can manage on your own, bringing and leading others along with you.

More important is to have a passion for growing herbs on scale as they grow year around and focus on 12 varieties for national and regional distribution. You will need the ability to mentor, organize and teach others. Spanish-speaking ability a real plus. Operation is very much hands on, so rolling up the sleeves to know all tasks and leading by doing is their way of getting things done. One will be part of the planning the grow, growing the plan while setting and hitting your targets and company goals.

Your work environment will be in our greenhouses and field operations, surrounded by a team performing planting, cultivation, harvesting and practices to care for the crops. There is a full array of projects that range from improvement activities to expansion projects. Your work also will dovetail closely with the maintenance and project teams.
