QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of Production Agriculture experience, with strong preference for forage production.
- Proven ability to communicate respectfully and effectively with both management and farm crews.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build, motivate, and manage a cohesive team during day-to-day operations and peak seasons.

- Hands-on experience with corn silage, alfalfa, haylage, and other forage crops.

- Solid mechanical aptitude, including general equipment maintenance, service scheduling, welding, and fabrication.
- Ability to maintain records of field operations, scouting, and seasonal activity.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position supports the Farm Manager with full oversight of approximately 3,500+ acres of irrigated alfalfa, corn, corn silage, and forage crops destined for the dairy. Planting and harvesting are completed by custom operators, and your role will focus on coordinating, monitoring, and managing the day-to-day operations that ensure everything runs smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with planning and execution of planting, irrigation, chopping, and hay production.
- Supervising and directing farm crew activity during critical production periods.
- Overseeing manure application and nutrient management across field acres.
- Tracking and reporting field records, scouting notes, and seasonal progress.
- Supporting the Farm Manager in continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
