This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate grew up on a small ranch in Southern Colorado. He is a dedicated ranch hand offering more than 15 years of experience in all aspects of ranching. He accepted a Ranch Hand position in Southwestern Idaho in 2015. The ranch runs between 900-1200 head of momma cows on about 15,000 acres of winter ground and 500,000 acres of BLM land during the summer. His duties have included feeding cattle during the winter, identifying and treating sick stock, branding and sorting off pairs, moving cattle to and from pastures, fixing fence in difficult and steep terrain, maintaining ranch and driving a semi-truck to haul weaned calves. He is a self-starter with a high-quality work ethic. He works hard and has a passion for horses, cattle and the outdoors. He has extensive experience in colt starting, recognizing sick cattle, doctoring, branding, processing, roping and feeding. Reliable and responsible, he can work alone or with a team. He is passionate about this lifestyle and motivated to continue improving and expanding his skill set. He and his wife have a two-year-old daughter.
