Herdsman / Assistant Herdsman
Candidate Description:
Micah is looking for Herdsman / Assistant Herdsman position and/or working with youngstock. Micah has been working his family's 650 milking cow dairy for the past 3 years and is ready to spread his wings and broaden his dairy knowledge and experience. He is young, outgoing, and reading to work. Micah is currently the herdsman on his family's dairy. He has gone through a training program with ABS and is experienced in Breeding cows. Micah is also responsible for administering vaccinations, and treating sick / lame, and fresh cows. He has experience feeding with a Trioliet mixer. Micah also has experience with calving, dry offs, and hoof trimming. He is experienced in moving heifers from various farms, packing bunk, covering bunk, mowing hay, raking hay, and using a dump wagon. His field experience includes disking, chisel plowing, plowing, finish tool, one pass tool, spreading fertilizer, and brush hogging.
