Candidate Description:
This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate has extensive education and experience in many Agribusiness sectors. He earned his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University. He is currently President/General Manager for a large Ag Service Cooperative with P/L responsibilities for full-service agronomy, c-stores, fuel, and propane business. Responsible for setting company strategy and executing strategy to meet sales and profitability objectives. He previously worked for a large, multi-national, privately held agricultural company where he was promoted from Market Analyst/Commodity Trader to General Manager to Marketing Director then Area Director and finally General Manager. He was General Manager responsible for an 80,000 acre farm in South America, 3 grain elevators, and 8,000 cow/calf herd with finishing yard. General Manager for a large onion producer, packing and processing operation in the U.S. responsible for P/L, negotiations, sales, quality assurance, farm production, fresh pack, processing, HR, IT and Finance. When he was Marketing Director/Commodity Trader he was responsible for trading grains, oils, fuel, cattle, dairy, and citrus contracts on the commodity futures exchanges for international and domestic companies.
