This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate is from Wyoming and grew up in the oil/gas and cattle production industries. The last eight years he has worked directly in the cattle industry. He has two range degrees, as well as an MBA in Energy Management. He is not only educated in agriculture but has worked on large farm/ranch operations (4,800 tons of hay, 1,400+ hd., 88,000+ acres). He was responsible for vaccinating, feeding, supplementing, and calving a 1,400 head, cow-calf herd and assisted the Ranch Foreman in a variety of forage and water resource utilization and availability assessments. Responsible for hay production on 1,400 acres utilizing flood and pivot irrigation and assisted in developing a grazing management program for an 800 head, cow-calf herd. Additionally, he has helped neighbors and friends operate smaller operations. When he left the family operation, he took a job in agriculture sales that took him to South Dakota. During his time in agriculture sales, he was responsible for the development of a new Western US territory, which required strong communication, networking, time management, and interpersonal skills. He recently left that position under extremely amicable and respectful terms, leading him to start looking for a new position. He is educated and knowledgeable, hardworking, responsible, and looking forward to building a new career with the right company.
