This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate completed his Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting, and will be finishing his Master's Degree in Agricultural Economics with a cattle production focus in the fall of 2020. He has experience analyzing livestock price data, livestock weight data, analyzing production schedules, optimizing production schedules relative to real time prices, managing budgets, and operating complex economic modeling relative to net present valuation of ranches in Southern Idaho. He has an extensive sales background in labor market information data sales, as well as sales in the distilling industry. He worked as a remote territory sales manager covering a 5-state territory for a craft distillery out of Seattle before returning to school. He also has hands-on experience with beef cattle in relation to administering vaccinations, branding and tagging, feeding, and experience with newborn calves during calving season. He has experience operating a MacDon swather, tractors, and is willing to learn more about operating machinery as well as more managerial skills. He has experience working remotely with second- and third-party customers, managing sales goals and incentives for distributor partners, and performing research on agricultural topics such as beef cattle, potato disease management, and water reallocation preferences. He is a punctual, precise, eager to learn, accountable, and honest individual who learns quickly and adapts to change quickly. Some of his other strengths are his ability to interpret data, understand workflow processes, methods of leadership, and taking ownership and pride in his work. He is looking for a long-term career so he can plant roots in an area while working in an industry that he is very passionate about to make a difference in the agricultural community.
