Candidate Description:
This Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT candidate started his farm career in 1993 as an irrigator overseeing winter ditch maintenance and groundwater management also working as a farm equipment operator, fabricator and mechanic. He went back to school and earned bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. After 6 months of working for Boeing on the 767 he decided to use his degree and experience in Agriculture. Since 2011 he has managed large farms from Minnesota to the Pacific Northwest. In his most recent position he managed 3 farms with 81 pivots, 8700 acre. He was responsible for a large irrigation project, developing 7 new circles and upgrading existing water systems, and at another project perfecting the watertronix and FieldNet system on 5 pump stations with 14525 hp. He managed new farm building projects including a 3200-acre farm where he managed the land leveling crew and worked with Tapini and TTap on the pipe installation reporting directly to the owner and DNR.
